To love God with an undivided heart is to serve him with an undistracted life.

This is the promise of understanding and having biblical prayer in our lives. The goal of a follower of Christ is undoubtedly to have the heart and character of our Father in heaven. Prayer is the primer where the transformation takes place. Prayer releases the purposes of God. It brings into focus the practice of God and aligns us with his divine providence. Prayer calls for perseverance that drives us toward renewal. From this little book of prayer, we will discover that our trajectory in the heavens is ultimately determined by our orientation to the ground.

REVIEW:

Another book on prayer? I'd read so many I felt a sense of "what more could be written that I haven't already read?" when picking up Scott Davis' contribution on the subject. However, I quickly discovered that the author's insight into this spiritual discipline was invaluable. Indeed, as I moved from chapter to chapter, I found several points that caused me to pause and re-evaluate my private prayer life, recognizing areas where I needed to experience growth and maturity. Scott Davis' wisdom into heavenly supplication made me grateful that I invested in one more book on prayer, for surly, he wrote from a perspective I had not read elsewhere. A solid five stars out of 5!  —Guy Hammond, author and teacher
